Agra man dies after constables 'throw him off terrace' over card game

Lalit Rajput (L), a 38-year-old man, died after allegedly being thrown off a building terrace by police.

He said Rajput and his friends were playing cards but were not gambling. Deputy commissioner of police (City) Ravindra Kumar said the two accused constables had been suspended. Police sent the body for postmortem, after which the last rites were performed.

The incident took place around midnight on Friday in Rawli, where Lalit Rajput was playing cards with his friends on the terrace of a building’s second floor, his father, Chandan Rajput, said.
