Marigowda Road

A senior BCCC official told TOI that the 2.8km stretch from Lalbagh Gate (KH Double Road junction) to Dairy Circle is being resurfaced at a cost of around Rs 5 crore. The plan was to resurface the remaining stretch in about 10 days. BCCC began using jet patchers to fill potholes on Sept 11, following a demonstration near MS Building in the presence of Bengaluru development minister Krishna Byre Gowda. 190 potholes were repaired using the machines between Sept 11 and Oct 10, according to corporation data. Chickpet division accounted for the highest number of repairs at 87, followed by Shantinagar with 50, Shivajinagar with 42 and CV Raman Nagar with 11.
However, recent rain and a shortage of labour during the festive season may delay the work slightly,” the official said. The official said the jet patcher was used as a temporary measure after a leaking water pipe caused significant erosion of the road surface. “The stretch between Lalbagh and Siddapura Junction has already been resurfaced.
