Drone show at Mysuru Dasara

Members of the Guinness World Records team, who arrived from London, officially announced the achievement after the show and presented the record certificate to CESC technical director L Lokesh and other officials.

Of the 12 formations showcased during the show, the peacock design created with 3,473 drones earned the distinction of being the largest aerial display of a bird using drones, securing another Guinness World Records title for CESC.

Energy minister KJ George said, “It is a matter of pride that CESC, which entered the Guinness World Records last year by creating the image of a tiger using drones, has achieved another record this year by forming a bird design. The record was set during Sunday evening’s show, where thousands of drones lit up the night sky in a synchronised display of colourful lights. The spectacle culminated in a stunning image of the national bird, leaving thousands of spectators spellbound. The second day of the drone show drew a massive crowd. The dazzling formations against the night sky captivated spectators. The event was preceded by a musical programme featuring popular singers Manikanth Kadri, Anuradha Bhat, and Bollywood singer Hansika Iyer, who entertained the audience with their performances. This achievement reflects the technical expertise, dedication, and collective efforts of CESC officers and staff.”

Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Ltd (CESC) added another feather to its cap by securing a new Guinness World Records title during the ongoing Dasara celebrations with a spectacular drone show at Banni Mantap Grounds on Sunday.
