“The energy is contagious and even if you are tired, the moment the next song plays, you are back on the floor,” said college student Srishti Kapoor. Aspiring model Pallavi Singh said, “Tonight is about letting go, dressing up, meeting people and dancing with nothing to worry about. “It is lovely to see the younger generation embracing our traditions, creating memories,” said homemaker Sanaya Oberoi. Senior citizen Pradeep Bhadari said, “The costumes, music and devotion remain the same, but it is wonderful to see the festival attracting so many young people. “You just join the circle, follow the rhythm and the energy carries you along,” said young professional Vihan Mishra.

It was a sea of colour, movement and music as embroidered chaniya cholis made perfect circles and colourful kediyus flashed under the floodlights and the steady beat of dhol blended with claps, laughter and cheerful conversations. The pulsating music did not let anyone stay seated for long. The festive atmosphere remained electric as singers Shivam Mishra and Shreya Dixit engaged the audience with live performances, while DJ MaskBox, in his signature helmet, moved between traditional Gujarati favourites and contemporary crowd-pleasers. Emcee Arpita ensured there was never a dull moment as circles expanded, dissolved and formed again across the sprawling venue. Presented by Adani, with SBI/YONO SBI as exclusive banking partner and Ekana Sportz City as the venue partner, the utsav drew participants from across the city. What stood out was not just the scale of the gathering but its diversity. Teenagers rehearsed steps on the fringes before joining in, families danced together and senior citizens watched with smiles. Away from the dance arena, children queued up for face art, groups gathered around pottery stations and friends compared freshly braided hairstyles before posing for photographs. Food stalls had visitors sampling dabeli, Gujarati chaat and chila, with lassi and juice. Makhana and peanuts were popular among those fasting.
