Shraddha, co-accused re-enter UP, remain untraced

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Lucknow: Model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey, her sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Tanveer Ali alias Danish re-entered Uttar Pradesh from Nepal through Maharajganj, sources said, but police have not been able to trace the trio, wanted in connection with the death of Lucknow restaurant owner Shiva Sharma .

Earlier, CCTV footage showed the trio entering Nepal via Rupidiah around 6.10 am on Oct 10. On Oct 16, Lucknow Police had stated on record that they were in touch with Nepal Police authorities and that local intelligence inputs indicated the three were in Nepal. Police have announced a reward of ₹50,000 each for information leading to the arrest of Shraddha, Rashmi and Tanveer.

Sources said the accused returned to Uttar Pradesh two days later and, after the interview, may have shifted via a western Uttar Pradesh district to a location near National Capital Region. Senior police officials remained tight-lipped about their whereabouts, saying only that teams were working to arrest them. Multiple teams have been deployed and investigators are examining leads linked to suspected movements across Uttar Pradesh and Nepal. Ranjana Sharma, Shiva Sharma’s mother, questioned police over the delay, asking how the media could reach Shraddha for an interview while police could not locate her.
