WWE aired the October 19 episode of RAW with several key developments ahead of Crown Jewel. Reigns questioned Zayn’s priorities and asked if he had come to help his former Bloodline family deal with The 946. Zayn disagreed and pointed to the 20 years he had spent working towards becoming a top champion.
Zayn said he valued his time with the group but needed to focus on his own championship reign. Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn got into a heated exchange over the WWE Championship, while Penta picked up a win over Bron Breakker after outside interference. The show also featured a tag team victory for Chelsea Green and IYO SKY, a win for JD McDonagh, and a new challenge for Lyra Valkyria. The show opened with Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn arguing over the WWE Championship. Zayn defended his position as champion and pointed out that only one person among the world’s eight billion people could call himself WWE Champion. Reigns then argued that the person holding a championship mattered more than the title itself. He made it clear that he would not let Reigns dismiss his achievement. Their exchange added another layer to their upcoming match, with both men standing firm on their positions. Penta took advantage of the opening and finished the match with a Mexican Destroyer to secure the victory. The result gave him a major win, although the interference played a key role in how the match ended. Chelsea Green teamed up with IYO SKY to face Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The match featured four competitors looking to gain momentum ahead of the upcoming Crown Jewel events. Green and SKY came away with the victory. SKY pinned Rodriguez to secure the win for her team.
