The Minnesota Timberwolves head into their January 11, 2026 game against the San Antonio Spurs with a familiar question hanging over them. That included games against Miami on January 6 and Cleveland on January 8 and 10. Each time, he scored more than 33 points.
Anthony Edwards is listed as questionable due to right foot injury management, the same issue that has followed him for much of the past month. Each time, he played. The Timberwolves again listing him as questionable just hours before tip-off against San Antonio has raised attention, especially with this game coming on the second night of a back-to-back.
The team is expected to decide after pregame warmups around 7 p.m. He is averaging 25 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists and has helped push the team to a 25–13 record and fourth place in the Western Conference. As of the latest update, no final call has been made. Edwards has been the engine of the Timberwolves this season. Without him, more pressure falls on Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid to control the paint and carry the scoring load. On the other side, San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama could benefit if Minnesota’s perimeter scoring drops.
