Kolkata : What looked like a scene straight out of a Bollywood action film unfolded on the busy BT Road in Khardah on Monday afternoon, when a woman on a scooter stopped, grabbed a man by the collar, and marched him to the local police station.
The woman, an off-duty police constable in plain clothes, said: “The man flashed me and made obscene gestures and comments. Within moments, however, the tables turned dramatically “The officer caught hold of the man by his collar and dragged him nearly 400 m to Khardah Police Station, with many stopping to watch as the alleged harasser was marched away,” a local trader said. Police said the accused, identified as Akash Ghosh, is a delivery agent.
Unaware that the woman he was targeting was a cop, the accused allegedly continued his misconduct.
