Sonakshi and Zaheer — Self-care should be practical and accessible

The actress has spoken about how she began taking skincare more seriously after turning 30.

Recalling her earlier routine, she had said in an interview to a portal that she had no routine until then and credited her parents for her naturally good skin, adding that she now relies on moisturisers and homemade blends of aloe vera gel, jojoba oil and almond oil. For Sonakshi Sinha , skincare and haircare are less about elaborate routines and more about sticking to the basics. The actor has spoken about embracing natural ingredients, moisturising regularly and keeping her beauty regimen simple.

” Zaheer, on his part, adds, “I believe in addressing everyday concerns with practical, purpose-driven solutions that make self-care simpler.” Her haircare routine follows a similarly uncomplicated approach. Acknowledging the effects of frequent heat styling, blow-drying and extensions on an actor’s hair, Sonakshi has advocated gentle shampooing, conditioning and oiling. She has also spoken about using a scalp massager while applying hair oil. The actress, along with her husband, actor Zaheer Iqbal , recently joined a beauty and wellness brand called DrVeda for their skin and healthcare campaign. “With skincare and haircare becoming increasingly important parts of everyday personal care, especially for actors, I think it’s important for brands to have a accessible and science-led philosophy. I feel people like Saharsh Mittal, Smyle Wadhwa, Sanju Wadhwa, Smarth Kapoor and Prerna Santhalia are doing just that for India’s evolving beauty and personal-care market.
