Manufacturing units will have floor plates ranging from 1,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft. Deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde said the govt will promote this park to create five lakh jobs and Rs 1 lakh crore investment by completion of all three phases. More than 70 companies have expressed interest in investing in the park, said GJEPC chairman Kirit Bhansali, adding that the park would support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, expand manufacturing capacity, promote Indian jewellery brands and improve competitiveness in global markets.
All statutory approvals and bank financing have been secured, according to GJEPC. He added that Maharashtra Police was capable of ensuring the industry’s safety and security.
