“The effort is part of state’s resolve to expand its footprint in technology-driven services besides strengthening innovation ecosystem,” principal secretary, IT and electronics, Alok Kumar said. The event will see the exchange of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with GCC companies and universities, besides the handing over of letters of comfort (LoCs) to companies planning to set up GCC units in the state. GCCs undertake functions such as research, product development, advanced analytics and digital operations for multinational companies, making them an important segment of the technology and services economy. Industrial development minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’, IT and electronics minister Sunil Kumar Sharma and minister of state for parliamentary affairs and industrial development Jaswant Singh Saini will also attend the summit.
