Matthew Stafford completed 23 of 29 passes for 195 yards, three touchdowns and one interception against Las Vegas. The Rams improved to 3-4 with the victory and now face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8. All three touchdown passes came in the first half, helping Los Angeles build a commanding lead and take control early. Stafford’s record will draw attention, but the bigger question is whether Los Angeles can turn individual excellence into consistent wins. For Stafford, the next step is clear: keep delivering, protect the football and help his team build on a result that finally matched its effort.
The Rams built a 28-6 halftime advantage, but the Raiders found openings after the break. Instead, Los Angeles answered with a 12-play, 70-yard touchdown drive, capped by Blake Corum’s four-yard run.
Some of those are cost of doing business in the NFL,” Stafford said. Stafford threw an interception early in the fourth quarter, giving Las Vegas a chance to make the game uncomfortable. “We just got to continue to finish. Got to continue to finish. Obviously, it’s NFL football. You look around the league, teams find ways to get back in football games. They’re really good football players on the other side of the ball. Obviously, want to take care of the ball better in the second half. Had a fumble, had an interception.
