Kanpur: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) will organise a mega legal aid and awareness camp at Shatabdi Bhawan of Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) on Nov 1, to provide information about government welfare schemes and help eligible beneficiaries access their benefits under one roof.
Officials from around 43 departments will participate in the camp, where they will inform eligible beneficiaries about various public welfare schemes and facilitate the process of securing benefits.
DLSA secretary Abhinav Tiwari said District Judge and DLSA chairman Anmol Pal reviewed the preparations at a meeting with officials from the concerned departments. The district judge directed all departments to coordinate with one another to ensure the camp’s success. The meeting also discussed pre-camp activities, identification and registration of eligible beneficiaries, and arrangements for distributing scheme benefits on the day of the event, Tiwari added.
It also seeks to ensure that no one in need is deprived of benefits due to a lack of information.
