Elayna Black, formerly known as Cora Jade in WWE, signed with the company at the age of 19. Because of the way she looked, in fact, she made a huge revelation that someone from WWE told her that she would never become a champion.
In a documentary published on TNA Wrestling’s YouTube channel, the TNA star said that she felt she was doing everything right, but was still not getting the opportunities and was getting passed over. She became a rising star in NXT and gained a lot of popularity.
Because i looked like I couldn’t even crack an egg, i felt like I was doing it, but I wasn’t getting the opportunities that other people were getting, and I kind of was watching myself being passed over, and I didn’t understand why.I was told that I was not and would not be champion in that company. However, after attaining fame and putting out her personal life on social media a lot, she became self-conscious about her body due to being in the public eye.
Elayna said, “I felt like I was doing everything right. In the same video, Elayna Black said that the comment from WWE had a huge impact on her confidence. Yeah, that was definitely the first time that I was like, I never thought anything was wrong with my body, and then I get put into this position, and all these eyes in this different, you know, spotlight, and it’s a mind f** to be honest” , said Elayna.
I felt like I was taking all the advice. I felt like I was improving in every aspect that any coach was telling me to. Despite that, she continued to push forward and became a major name in the NXT women’s division. “Very quickly, I started to become very, very insecure about my body.
