WRI has also worked with authorities on a student mobility programme covering 526 schools and provided traffic engineering training to police personnel.

The Cyberabad police commissioner, M Ramesh, said traffic congestion was affecting productivity and could not be addressed through infrastructure expansion alone. Srinivas Alavilli, a fellow at the WRI India Foundation, which is assisting the authorities with mobility planning, said the focus would be on aligning travel demand with public transport supply. Organised by the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), Cyberabad police and other stakeholders, the initiative aims to bring govt agencies, corporates, public transport providers and citizens together to promote sustainable urban mobility. The event will focus on reducing dependence on private vehicles, strengthening public transport and improving daily commuting efficiency.
