Travis Kelce paid $995,000 for his first Kansas City home in 2019. Four years later, he bought a gated estate in Leawood, Kansas, for just under $6 million, and Robb Report says he paid in cash. TMZ reported the deal closed in October 2023, about a month after Taylor Swift attended her first Chiefs game. The Leawood property sits on a little over three acres and was built in 1998. The price came in just under $6 million. Swift went to Kelce’s September 24 game against the Bears, and within three days Kelce told Jason that photographers had started showing up at his house.

The cash detail traces back to Robb Report, so it is best read as reported rather than confirmed by the buyer.

It previously belonged to a prominent medical malpractice attorney in the area, according to the Kansas City Journal. The sequence is simple. Kelce kept his early purchase modest, stayed put for years, and upgraded only when the attention outside his front door made the old place hard to live in. The timing is hard to ignore.

The grounds include a pool with a waterfall, a tennis and pickleball court and a mini golf course. Reports put the house at six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The lower level has a wine cellar, a gym with a sauna, a club room with a full bar and kitchen, and a six-car garage. Nearly everything a player might want on a day off is already behind the gate, which was the point.
