Prayagraj : Parents of students studying in over 1,200 Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country will soon be able to track their children’s attendance, academic progress, examination results, school announcements and other updates through the upcoming KVS Samvaad-Parent Connect App. KVS has fixed Nov 6 as the deadline for completing the verification. The directions, along with the step-by-step user guide, are to be circulated among all Kendriya Vidyalayas to ensure 100% compliance within the deadline.

The student’s profile status must be marked “Completed” before verification is initiated. Access to the app will be restricted to parents whose mobile numbers and email IDs have been verified by class teachers on the SAMAGAM portal. Under the verification protocol, class teachers have to log in to SIS > Students > Verify Mobile and Email Address. Separate one-time passwords (OTPs) will be sent to the parent’s registered mobile number and email ID. Parents will have to provide both OTPs to the class teacher for authentication. Schools have been advised to organise phased parent-teacher meetings, wherever required, to sensitise parents and facilitate the process. Regional offices and principals have also been asked to monitor verification progress daily. KVS has stressed that OTPs are strictly confidential and must not be shared over the telephone, WhatsApp groups or any other public messaging platform. Once operational, it is expected to give parents a single digital window to stay informed about their child’s attendance, studies and school-related updates. Download the TOI App.
