LUCKNOW: The Election Commission of India ( ECI ) will review preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections across 18 districts of western UP during a meeting in Meerut on Monday. The exercise is part of the Election Commission’s preparations ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Manish Garg, along with other senior ECI officials, will assess election-related arrangements and the progress made by district administrations. Divisional commissioners, police commissioners, inspectors general and deputy inspectors general of police, district election officers, senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police from the respective jurisdictions will participate. Officials have been directed to make PowerPoint presentations detailing the progress of election preparations and administrative arrangements in their respective districts.
