Alongside them, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Johnny Lever, and Kangana Ranaut are also expected to attend the inauguration ceremony on Dec 16. The festival will be held between Dec 16 and 23. In 2025, KIFF’s inaugural programme was held at Dhano Dhanyo auditorium in Alipore.
The state govt’s cultural adviser and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty said south superstars Rajinikanth and Prabhas are among the film personalities scheduled to attend the festival. A foreign celebrity is also likely to attend, “ said Chakraborty. “The details of the date from when the delegate card will be given and the people eligible for it, will be available on the website from Nov 5,” said actor and BJP MLA Rudranil Ghosh, who is also the adviser of the 32 KIFF. The sprawling Victoria Memorial grounds will host the inaugural ceremony this year instead of the conventional Netaji Indoor Stadium. Kolkata: The new logo for the forthcoming 32nd Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), designed by director Sandip Ray , was officially unveiled at Nandan on Sunday.
