Hyderabad: BJP Telangana president N Ramchander Rao on Monday questioned how Rahul Gandhi and chief minister A Revanth Reddy won elections if vote theft had taken place, hitting back at Congress over its protest in Delhi against alleged electoral irregularities.
Speaking to the media, Rao said Congress had organised a mock Parliament at party president Mallikarjun Kharge ’s residence recently and accused Election Commission of indulging in vote theft. He alleged that Congress had become synonymous with lies and said Union home minister Amit Shah was visiting Hyderabad to explain the party’s stand on the issue and expose what he described as the grand old party’s false allegations. Rao said questioning the credibility of constitutional institutions could create an atmosphere of anarchy across the country. “To show a large crowd in Ramlila Maidan, the Congress Party should have at least prepared the AI-generated photo properly,” he said. Earlier reporting noted: “Even the fake AI photo to show that Ramlila ground was full is not done properly by the fake narrative team of Congress Party!” he added, sharing the image in his post.
If the special intensive revision (SIR) had benefited BJP, how did Congress win in Kerala, he asked. He alleged that Congress was pursuing a dangerous approach by casting doubts on institutions such as Election Commission.
Earlier reporting noted: In a post on X, Rijiju alleged that the image was AI-generated and mocked the Congress for not getting the details right.
