Dehradun : Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched ‘Devbhoomi Parivar Portal’ to create an integrated digital database of families across Uttarakhand. Family details will be centralised under a unique ‘Devbhoomi Parivar ID’, eliminating the need for citizens to repeatedly submit documents or visit multiple govt offices.

To safeguard personal information, the state assembly has already passed the Devbhoomi Parivar Act, which aligns with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The law prescribes strict penalties for unauthorised access, data insertion or tampering—including up to 10 years in prison and a minimum fine of Rs 50 lakh—while also penalising impersonation and unlawful data collection. Detailing the road map under ‘Viksit Uttarakhand Vision-2047’, state principal secretary (planning) R Meenakshi Sundaram said that the document sets long-term targets across key sectors using around 440 indicators.

Dhami said that the actual measure of any govt’s success lies in ensuring that scheme benefits reach eligible individuals and transform lives. Through ‘Devbhoomi Parivar Portal,’ efforts are being made to mitigate these challenges and make govt services simpler, more transparent, and citizen-centric,” Dhami said.
