Hassan district minister KM Shivalingegowda purchases 500 special darshan tickets

Hassan: District minister KM Shivalingegowda has purchased 500 special darshan tickets worth Rs 5 lakh for Congress party office-bearers who have worked for the successful organisation of the Sri Hasanamba and Sri Siddeshwara Swamy Jatra Mahotsava. The minister personally visited the ticket counter near the temple and purchased 500 tickets priced at Rs 1,000 each by handing over a cheque for Rs 5 lakh. The minister further said the district administration had printed 20,000 golden passes for ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries. Those holding the passes are being allowed darshan between 8 am and 10 am.

Shivalingegowda said there was considerable demand for special darshan passes. He later handed over the tickets to District Congress president GB Shashidhar for distribution among party office bearers. However, printing additional passes could create inconvenience for ordinary devotees waiting in the general darshan queue.
