Speaking at MP Inter College, ahead of BJP’s ‘Loktantra Bachao-Arajakta Hatao’ padayatra, he questioned the Opposition’s allegations of vote theft, saying that parties which had won elections in Telangana and Himachal Pradesh were now raising the issue despite forming govts in those states. He asked why BJP continued to enjoy electoral success across the country and why its development agenda was not being acknowledged by its political rivals. Gorakhpur : BJP MP Ravi Kishan on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Opposition parties, accusing them of failing to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi and resorting to caste-based politics.
He cited the state’s economic growth, the target of achieving a $1-trillion economy, improved infrastructure, expansion of roads and airports, employment opportunities and industrial development, including projects in Gorakhpur.
Highlighting achievements of Yogi Adityanath govt, he said UP had transformed from a “Bimaru” state into an “Uttam Pradesh”. He also claimed that the state had become free of riots and mafia influence under the present govt.
“Earlier, strongmen controlled districts, mafias occupied properties, daughters were abducted, traders were threatened and ransom was demanded. Today, women and girls are going to schools and colleges with confidence, while employment opportunities are available within the state,” he said.
Appealing to people to rise above caste-based politics, the MP said caste-driven political leaders had harmed the state. He urged people to support BJP’s development-oriented approach and said the padayatra was aimed at countering what he termed the destructive agenda of the INDIA alliance. BJP believes in the Sanatan ideology and works with people of every caste and religion,” Ravi Kishan said, urging people to participate in the march.
