Lucknow: Police have registered an FIR against two men in connection with the death of a 20-year-old man whose body was found inside his SUV near a roadside ditch in Hardoi on Tuesday evening.
The deceased, Sonu of Gilauli village, was pursuing his studies and also worked as a driver. His father, Anil Kumar, is posted as a home guard at Arwal police station. He claimed that Sonu had an ongoing financial dispute with Urvesh. Based on the complaint, police have registered an FIR against Rohit and Urvesh and initiated questioning.
In a complaint lodged with police, Sonu’s brother, Amit Kumar, alleged that Rohit of Isepur and Urvesh of Baramau had accompanied Sonu before the incident.
The victim’s family has alleged that he was shot dead over a financial dispute involving two of his friends. The family, meanwhile, expressed dissatisfaction with the initial postmortem findings, which attributed the death to rupture of the left kidney and gallbladder. An X-ray examination reportedly did not reveal any bullet lodged in or passing through the body. Following the family’s demand and the intervention of Sawayajpur MLA Madhavendra Pratap Singh Ranu, authorities ordered a second postmortem.
