SP (South) Anshika Verma said, “The accused used forged Aadhaar and PAN cards, or documents belonging to other people, to open bank accounts and obtain SIM cards. Police said the gang lured people with promises of quick returns, bought digital coins and resold them at higher prices. They used these to operate gaming apps and convert cryptocurrency into rupees. The operation was allegedly run on the instructions of a main handler, who is suspected of having built a network of thousands of youths across the country.
