Hassan: Kannada and culture minister Shivaraj Tangadagi Friday alleged that Union minister HD Kumaraswamy is behind the controversial sting operation and claimed that all those involved would soon be identified and punished.
Tangadagi claimed that a mobile phone exchange had taken place near Kumaraswamy’s residence in Delhi and said this aspect would also be investigated. The public has the right to know who obtained the mobile phone and who orchestrated the conspiracy,” he said. Speaking to reporters after visiting the Hasanamba Temple with his family, Tangadagi alleged that Kumaraswamy had formed a special team to carry out the operation. He accused Kumaraswamy of attempting to create differences between former CM Siddaramaiah and chief minister DK Shivakumar . “People who uploaded and circulated the sting videos have been identified. Those behind the operation will also be caught. Tangadagi urged Kumaraswamy to stop creating controversies and advised him to use his responsible position in the Union cabinet to undertake development initiatives for Karnataka .
Reacting to home minister Priyank Kharge’s use of the term ‘Halliguggu’ against Kumaraswamy, Tangadagi said it was a colloquial expression and had been unnecessarily blown out of proportion. He added that it was not a major issue and that they stood by the home minister.
