Lucknow: UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary termed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav ’s proposed visit to Ram

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

Lucknow: UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary termed SP chief Akhilesh Yadav ’s proposed visit to Ram Temple and Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya as nothing more than a politically motivated move ahead of UP elections.

Chaudhary questioned, hours after former SP MLA Pawan Pandey announced that Akhilesh and his wife Dimple would visit the Hindu shrine on Dec 12.

Chaudhary said while Akhilesh Yadav was certainly welcome to visit Ram Lalla, he must also address his past statements and political positions concerning Sanatan Dharma and Hindu faith. “Visiting temples only during election season—while questioning Sanatan Dharma at other times—naturally raises questions among the public,” the UP BJP chief said. He further said that Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was bringing the demolition of the Babri Masjid back into political discourse. Chaudhary said the Supreme Court has already delivered its verdict on the Babri dispute. The nation has moved past this controversy, yet the Congress is attempting to revive an old issue,” he said. Rather, they seek concrete action focused on development, good governance, and public welfare,” he said.

Has faith, too, become a part of electoral strategy? “A grand Ram Mandir has been constructed in Ayodhya, and Ram Lalla is now enshrined there. The BJP state president noted that while Samajwadi Party appears to be trying to reshape its political image through Ram Mandir ahead of the elections, Congress was seeking to advance its political agenda by invoking the memory of the Babri demolition. He emphasised that the people were watching everything. “They are not interested in political rhetoric surrounding past disputes.

“Leaders who have previously faced scrutiny for their stance on the Ram Mandir and Sanatan Dharma now feel the urge to visit Ayodhya. Why has Ram Lalla come to mind only just before the UP elections?

However, for now, this is just a pre-arrival noise…so that in the next five days, they can study the reaction of the people and the attitude of their Jihadi voters to see what and how much impact it will have on them,” he said. VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal said: “It is heard that the head of Samajwadi Party, which is better known as Namaazwadi Party, is going to move towards Ayodhya!! Bansal said that SP chief’s decision was driven by UP elections. “They know very well that without Lord Shri Ram, their defeat is certain,” he said, adding that right now only one leader of ‘Ram Drohi’ India bloc has announced a visit to Ayodhya. “Wait and see, those whose mother is a staunch Christian of foreign origin will also come,” he said. Bansal said that “these people” need to make a few resolutions.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad too reacted sharply to Akhilesh’s proposed visit to Ram Temple. One, that they will apologise there for the attacks they made so far on Lord Shri Ram, his holy birthplace, Ram Mandir, Shri Ramcharitmanas, Goswami Tulsidas, Sanatan and Hindu beliefs. Secondly, they will not mix caste-based poison in Hindu society any more. Thirdly, they will atone for the brutal killing of unarmed Ram devotees and increasing Babri mentality. Fourthly, they will not hatch any further conspiracy to disintegrate Hindu society. Fifthly, they will no longer support Jihadis, missionaries and anti-national conspirators who weaken India under the influence of power and finally, there will be no hindrance in the liberation of Mathura, Kashi and other Hindu pilgrimages.
