Nagpur: A 23-year-old MBBS student was allegedly duped of ₹12 lakh by operators of an online ludo gaming application between Jan and Oct this year. The accused lured the student with promises of earning money through online ludo games and allegedly manipulated the game to ensure that he lost.

A resident of Sangli district, he came across an advertisement for an online gaming application while scrolling YouTube in Jan, according to the complainant. He downloaded its APK file through the advertised link and registered using his mobile number. However, the student subsequently began losing money and suspected that the game was manipulated.
