CM A Revanth Reddy participates in the inauguration of Mega Rythu Mela & Industrial Expo, interacts with staff at Kodangal on Saturday
Recalling how people overcame the Covid-19 pandemic through collective efforts, he expressed confidence that the state would overcome the challenges posed by El Niño as well. He also announced that he would launch the ‘Praja Balam’ programme after Sankranti in January and tour all districts, visiting villages to interact directly with people and understand their problems amid the El Niño conditions.
He said BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao should attend the debate along with his MLAs and that the discussion would help bring out the facts. “I will present the facts before the people of Telangana, as BRS leaders are indulging in daily falsehoods regarding El Niño, the three barrages of Kaleshwaram and Godavari-Pranahita waters,” he said. He said ministers, MPs, MLCs and MLAs would visit villages along with him to support farmers and collectively tackle the drought situation.
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a mega Rythu Mela and an industrial expo, followed by an interaction with progressive farmers and agricultural scientists in the Kodangal constituency, the CM appealed to farmers to remain cautious while planning their crops in view of the anticipated El Niño-induced drought.
