He added that such a grand Deepotsav was unimaginable in Ayodhya 10 years back. Correlating the nine years of Deepotsav with the state’s economic progress, the CM said that in 2017, when the first Deepotsav was held and only 25,000 lamps were lit, the state’s economy was in tatters and there was not even enough money to pay employees’ salaries.

Speaking at the Deepotsav in Ayodhya , the CM said that PM Modi was working to realise the vision of ‘Ram Rajya’ as described in religious and mythological texts. The govt of Ram devotees is bringing change to every person’s life through security, good governance and prosperity,” the CM said. Previous govts had deprived Ayodhya of basic amenities, gave it limited electricity, had no sanitation plan for it and left it with narrow lanes,” he said. Now, there are four-lane roads leading to the Ram temple, an international airport has been built in the name of Maharshi Valmiki, roads have been expanded, the railway station has been developed, and Ayodhya is forging a new identity as a solar city,” he said. He said that those who compromise the safety of women should prepare to suffer a fate like Ravan’s. “As 36 lakh diyas were lit in Ayodhya on Saturday, UP’s economy also grew from Rs 12 lakh crore to Rs 36 lakh crore,” he said.

“When the poor receive the benefit of the free food grain scheme, the youth get employment, the farmer’s hard work is respected, the worker receives fair wages, and women can travel without fear for their safety, then ‘Ram Rajya’ becomes a reality. “In fact, such a festive environment could not be found anywhere in UP. Yogi added that now no one could violate the right to worship in UP, nor could anyone dare to incite riots. He also took on those who are trying to divide society in the name of caste, sect, region and language, asking them to learn from the ideals of Lord Ram and create a society where there is respect, prosperity and security for every person.

Lucknow: Accusing the opposition of conspiring against the country, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that on the one hand there was Prime Minister Narendra Modi , who was working to realise the idea of a self-reliant and developed India by promoting its heritage and furthering public welfare schemes, while on the other, there were ‘Manthara and Marich’, sulking in their ‘Kop Bhavan’ and promoting naxalism, terrorism and anarchy to disrupt the country’s growth.
