Gorakhpur: Actor and two-time Lok Sabha MP Ravi Kishan has been awarded the ‘Sarvottam Nagrik Samman 2026’ in recognition of his significant contributions to Indian cinema, arts, and public life. This honor highlights his impact not only as an entertainer but also as a public figure committed to societal issues.
Ravi Kishan said the honour would inspire him to continue serving the fields of art, culture and public life with greater dedication and commitment. Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, state cultural affairs minister Ashish Shelar, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Sampark Pramukh Ramlal and founder of Meghashreya Foundation Seema Singh were present on the occasion. Several distinguished personalities, including Param Vir Chakra awardee Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, Padma Bhushan recipient Prof J B Joshi, Padma Shri awardee Ashok Saraf and veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai, among others from the fields of science, arts, culture and social service from across the country, were honoured at the event.
The award was presented by Meghashreya Foundation on Sunday at a ceremony in Mumbai, said PRO of the MP, Pawan Dubey.
