Protests Planned Over Contractor’s Unpaid Dues in Ulwe

The contractor, Gajanan Bhujangrao Devkate, based in Ulwe’s Sector 5, is facing financial difficulties due to unpaid dues from his work. He has reportedly struggled to repay his bank loan and cover the costs for labor and machinery. The association representing Devkate claims he has reached out multiple times to the relevant executive engineer to request payment, but has faced disrespectful treatment in response. In light of these circumstances, the association plans to initiate a statewide protest in eight days if Devkate’s dues are not paid to his family and no action is taken against the officials responsible for the delays.
