Roads have caved in at three locations in Agra during the monsoon, leaving pits as deep as 20 feet and around 15 feet wide. Within minutes, the opening widened to around 15 feet and reached a depth of nearly 20 feet. The stretch is used by around 20 to 25 school vehicles every day. Agra was among 100 cities selected under the Centre’s Smart Cities Mission, launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in 2015-16.
