AGARTALA: Alma mater of Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in King George’s Medical University of Uttar Pradesh has announced the launch of a Gold Medal in his name.
Later, Dr Saha said that King George’s Medical University had written a letter to him detailing the management’s decision to encourage the students. The letter read, “On the occasion of your auspicious arrival at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dental Sciences in November last year, and impressed by your inspiration and contribution to the institution, Vice Chancellor of King George’s Medical University announced the launch of the ‘Chief Minister Tripura (Manik Saha) Gold Medal.” Sharing the information on X, Dr Saha wrote, “Nostalgic moment for me. King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, my Alma mater, has instituted a Gold Medal in my name for meritorious students excelling in Dental Sciences . I thank the entire KGMU fraternity for this honour. During the university’s convocation, the medal will be awarded to the postgraduate student securing the highest marks in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
