Muzaffarnagar Police thanked residents and devotees for their support and reiterated their commitment to the “Security as well as Service” approach during the pilgrimage. The district police, under SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma, have maintained round-the-clock security along the Kanwar route as lakhs of Shiva devotees pass through Muzaffarnagar, a key transit point during the annual pilgrimage. Besides security and traffic management, police personnel have been assisting Kanwariyas with medical emergencies, helping reunite missing children and devotees with their families and providing support to pilgrims in distress. Regular inspections and monitoring have also been carried out along the route. The police’s service-oriented approach received praise from devotees and residents, who shared messages on X highlighting the arrangements and prompt assistance provided by personnel during the yatra.
