In Bulandshahr, a shocking incident resulted in the arrest of a woman accused of strangling her husband with a towel
Police received a murder call through Dial-112 on August 25 and reached the spot along with the City Sub-Divisional Magistrate. Police said the video was recorded on August 19 and was not related to the murder.
BULANDSHAHR: A woman was arrested for allegedly strangling her husband with a towel following a domestic dispute in UP’s Bulandshahr, police said. Police said Krishna was allegedly killed by his wife, Preeti Kumari. During questioning, Preeti allegedly told police that her husband often came home drunk and assaulted her, leading to frequent quarrels between them.
The deceased was identified as Krishna Kumar. A forensic team also visited the scene and collected evidence. A video circulating on social media purportedly shows Krishna assaulting Preeti. Police recovered the towel allegedly used in the killing and registered an FIR.
Preeti was produced before a court and sent to district jail. Further investigation is underway.
