Chelsea Green rose to the occasion and fulfilled a lifelong dream at SummerSlam 2026 by winning her first-ever WWE Women’s title. During the tapings of the August 28 episode of SmackDown, Chelsea Green teamed up with Tiffany Stratton to battle Nia Jax and Lash Legend in a tag team match. Despite everything, Chelsea Green proved everyone wrong at the 2026 SummerSlam PLE.
She competed in the multi-woman ladder match to crown the Interim WWE Women’s Championship, after Rhea Ripley was ruled out of action due to a knee injury.
However, many saw her only as a comedy worker, and even Michael Hayes once said that she could not be like Charlotte Flair (i.e., a top-tier WWE star). However, things have been downhill for her right after. Firstly, she suffered a broken orbital bone on SmackDown after SummerSlam during a tag team match. Despite that, Green refused to give up her title and continued to perform inside the ring wearing a protective mask. This led to another major scare for the popular WWE star. However, there was some relief for the fans following a report by False Finish Media, who took to their X account to say that Green’s injury was a work. Chelsea Green has been called one of the most popular WWE stars of this generation.
