Call of Duty fans who were anticipating Black Ops 7, the next major release, have met with the unexpected change. A significant announcement has been made by developer Treyarch in its content carry-forward policy for the upcoming Black Ops 7. In a surprising move, Treyarch completely scrapped the carry-forward feature for the upcoming Black Ops 7. The system was supposed to allow gamers to import cosmetic items like the weapon blueprints and operator skins from Black Ops 6. The decision made means that none of the skins, weapons, or Operators unlocked/purchased from previous games will remain accessible within Black Ops 7. Black Ops 7 Is Finally Listening | Carry Forward Update The anti-cheat capabilities will get tested during the open beta period of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The beta has been scheduled to begin with the early access phase starting October 2, 2025.
