Blipbug to Dottler: 25 Candy Dottler to Orbeetle: 100 Candy Total Needed 125 Candy Players can increase candy rewards during the event. Trainers who reach Tier 2 receive double catch candy, which helps reduce the time needed to collect the 125 candy required for the final evolution. The shiny family may be released later during another event. Trainers can now obtain Orbeetle in Pokemon GO and its full evolution line for the first time. To get Orbeetle in Pokemon GO, players must begin with its first form, Blipbug. From there, the Pokémon evolves into Dottler and then into Orbeetle. The event makes it easier to collect the candy needed for the full evolution line. Blipbug is the starting point for the Orbeetle line in Pokémon GO. During the Bug Out event, it can appear in the wild, in One-Star raids, and as a reward through the event’s GO Pass. Dottler cannot be caught directly. Players must evolve Blipbug to obtain it. After the event ends, Blipbug may still appear in Bug-type weather spawns or raids, but it will likely be less common. Using Silver Pinap Berries while catching or raiding Blipbug gives more candy. Running a Mega Pinsir during raids also increases Bug-type candy gains. The GO Pass also provides extra rewards. The shiny versions of Blipbug, Dottler, and Orbeetle are not available in Pokémon GO at this time. This means players cannot find shiny versions during the Bug Out event. Its strongest attack combination is Confusion with Psychic, which works well in raids and gym battles. The Pokémon also has strong Special Defense, which allows it to last longer in certain matchups. It can perform well against Fighting-type opponents. In the Great League, Orbeetle can be effective when built with low Attack and higher bulk. It can pressure Fairy-type Pokémon and use moves such as Psybeam. However, it struggles against Fire-type and Flying-type Pokémon, which can defeat it quickly. The Bug Out event includes several bonuses that help players collect Blipbug Candy faster. The GO Pass has both free and Deluxe options. The pass includes Blipbug encounters and additional candy rewards. Lure Modules used during the event can attract Pokémon such as Paras and Combee, which also have shiny forms available.
