The only driver to win a Formula One race at a younger age is Max Verstappen, who claimed his first victory at 18 in 2016. Antonelli also became the first Italian driver to win a Grand Prix since Giancarlo Fisichella achieved the feat in 2006. Carlos Sainz Jr. placed ninth for Williams Racing, while Franco Colapinto rounded out the top ten for Alpine and scored his first point since 2024. Meanwhile, both drivers from the McLaren Formula 1 Team were unable to start the race. Antonelli’s victory represents a significant moment in his young career, especially after early doubts when he crashed during his Formula One practice debut in 2024.

Hamilton completed the podium in third place, securing his first Grand Prix podium for Scuderia Ferrari since joining the team. Antonelli’s triumph also puts him among the youngest winners in the sport’s history. Behind the top three, Charles Leclerc finished fourth after a close fight with his Ferrari teammate Hamilton. Oliver Bearman secured an impressive fifth place for Haas F1 Team. Further down the order, Pierre Gasly finished sixth for Alpine F1 Team, followed by Liam Lawson in seventh for Racing Bulls. Isack Hadjar recovered from an early spin to finish eighth for Red Bull Racing. The race proved difficult for Verstappen, who was running sixth before suffering a loss of power that forced him to return to the pits.
