Three individuals have been arrested in connection with a clash that erupted in Parel, Mumbai, on Wednesday night, following an Eid procession. The arrested are identified as Rehan Masood Sayyad (19), Adil Khan Ahmed Khan (19), and Miraj Mohammad Firoz Rais (18). The Bhoiwada police are actively pursuing additional unidentified suspects involved in the incident and have initiated a manhunt for those responsible. In response to the unrest, additional police personnel have been deployed to the area as a precautionary measure.

A case has been registered under Sections 189(1), 189(2), 189(3), 191(1), 191(2), 195(1), 118(1) and 121(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 137 and 133 of the Maharashtra Police Act. The exact trigger for the confrontation is yet to be established, according to police. Officials said several claims and posts have circulated on social media, but it would be premature to draw conclusions before the investigation is completed. He said senior officers were deployed at the spot and the situation was under control. Police said there was no need for panic and maintained that the area remained calm after the incident.

Police suspect that members of two groups exchanged slogans, followed by a verbal altercation that escalated into a clash. Reports of stone pelting and the use of mild police force also emerged from the area. The accused have also been booked for allegedly violating prohibitory orders issued by the Mumbai Police Commissioner restricting unlawful assembly.
