Gran Turismo 7 update 1.71 adds three new World Circuits
Gran Turismo 7 update 1.71 is now live. The new additions include two Toyota models from 1997, a lightweight Caterham from 2008 and the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N. Here’s everything that Gran Turismo 7 players need to know about update 1.71. The update is available as a free download for Gran Turismo 7 players on PS5.
The ’97 Toyota Chaser Tourer V is available from Used Cars and is categorised as a “Street Icon”. The ’97 Toyota Mark II Tourer V is also available through Used Cars and falls under the “Sleeper Pick” category. The ’08 Caterham Seven Superlight R500 is available from Brand Central and is listed as a “Pure Driver” car. The ’25 Hyundai IONIQ 6 N is available from Brand Central and is categorised as “Next Gen Performance”.
The free update adds four new cars and three new World Circuits to the racing game, while Whistler has also been added as a featured Curation in Scapes. The latest update adds new vehicles from Toyota, Caterham, and Hyundai, with each car placed in a different category based on its driving character and intended experience. The three new World Circuits are also part of the update, although Sony didn’t specify their names. Players can take it to Tokyo Expressway, customise it through GT Auto and the Tuning Shop, and capture a replay or Scapes photo. Players can drive it on Tokyo Expressway or another urban track, compare it with road cars from the same era and experiment with different tuning setups. The update guide suggests using it for Time Trials on technical tracks such as Deep Forest Raceway, with a focus on braking, cornering, racing lines and lap consistency. Players can take it to a fast circuit such as High-Speed Ring, race it against modern performance cars and compare its performance across different tracks. Players who have not purchased the game can also download My First GT for free through the PlayStation Store.
