Street Fighter 6 has introduced Yasmine, its first Filipino character, trained in Eskrima. Yasmine enters the game as the first fighter of Year 4, with more characters planned. She uses a Karambit knife and relies on quick, acrobatic attacks to pressure opponents. This launch coincides with a balance update affecting all playable characters in the game. Upcoming events include a collaboration with Onimusha and a Street Voter event.
The character is available to players who own or purchase the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass and arrives alongside battle balance changes for the full roster. Since its launch, Street Fighter 6 has sold more than seven million copies worldwide and is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
Capcom said Yasmine “becomes the first Filipino martial artist to join the Street Fighter roster” with her launch. Yasmine learned Eskrima from her Lolo (grandfather) alongside her Kuya (older brother), according to Capcom. In combat, she uses a Karambit knife and relies on quick, acrobatic attacks designed to pressure opponents and extend combos.
Beginning August 7, the game will also host The Way of the Oni × The Way of the Fist collaboration event. During the event, players who log in will receive special colours, while the Battle Hub will feature an Onimusha-themed makeover. Capcom is also introducing a limited-time Street Voter event themed around players’ favourite Genma, with stickers and camera frames available as rewards.
