1,029 youths join Khelo India Yuva Samvad in Kashi

A recent educational programme at Dhirendra Mahila PG College saw participation from 525 attendees. The event was graced by the presence of Uttar Pradesh’s Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, alongside college principal Nalini Mishra. This gathering underscores the government’s commitment to promoting educational initiatives in the region.

A total of 1,029 young people participated in the three programmes organised across the district. The programme began with a virtual address by the Prime Minister to the youth. Varanasi: Under the aegis of Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the ‘Khelo India Yuva Samvad’ programme was organised at three major educational institutions in Varanasi on Thursday to create awareness among youth about sports, encourage sporting talent, highlight career opportunities in the field and connect young people with various youth initiatives.

Youth Engagement in Sports Programs Across Uttar Pradesh

Recent sports engagement initiatives have seen significant participation from youth in Uttar Pradesh. At the Gymkhana Club, IIT-BHU, 100 participants attended a program featuring Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh, Prof Rajesh Kumar, Dean of Student Affairs at IIT-BHU, and sports figures Mangal Yadav and Nasir Ali. Discussions centered on sports and the opportunities available to young people.

Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) reported a turnout of 404 youth at a similar event. Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Hansraj Vishwakarma, MGKVP Vice-Chancellor Prof Anand K Tyagi, and Registrar Sunita Pandey were present. International weightlifter Poonam Yadav shared her sporting journey, motivating attendees to engage in sports with dedication.

At Dhirendra Mahila PG College, enthusiasm was high among the 525 participants. The event featured Uttar Pradesh Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal and College Principal Nalini Mishra. National hockey player Shalu Sonkar interacted with students, sharing her experiences in the sport.
