Ajit Pawar died on January 28, 2026, after a VSR Aviation aircraft crashed and caught fire near the runway while landing at Baramati airport. Posting on X, Rohit Pawar said, “Seven months have passed since Ajitdada’s departure, yet neither has the CID investigation progressed nor has the probe been handed over to the CBI. “Not even a simple FIR has been registered, and what’s more, the FIR registered in Karnataka hasn’t been classified by the Maharashtra government either,” he added. “Who is making such frantic efforts to save VSR? Pawar has previously called for a detailed investigation into the crash and raised questions about VSR Aviation’s operations and its financial dealings with the state government.
