Lingamurthy allegedly retrieved an illegal and unlicensed gun from his house and shot the stray dog, killing it instantly on the spot, police said. Shivamogga : Shivamogga district police arrested a man on charges of shooting a stray dog to death after it fought with his pet dogs at Channapura village in Sagar taluk. Following complaints and local outrage, Anandapura police station registered a case against Lingamurthy under various sections of the BNS and the Arms Act for illegal weapon use and animal cruelty.
