Javed Miandad Calls for Imran Khan’s Release Amid Emotional Plea
Javed Miandad, the former Pakistan cricket star, expressed his deep sorrow regarding the imprisonment of his former teammate and captain, Imran Khan. During an emotional address, Miandad, 69, asserted that Khan is not corrupt and urged for his release.
Miandad, who participated in six World Cups from 1975 to 1996, was a key player in the Pakistan team that clinched the 1992 World Cup title under Khan’s leadership.

He is not someone who engages in corrupt practices, otherwise he would have done a lot of things. What will happen if you let him out? Will he harm someone? He is also someone’s son.
The issue gained further attention on Thursday after reports said the Pakistan team had threatened not to take the field following an interview given by Khan’s sons to a British broadcaster.
