Police arrested a key suspect in the dismembered body suitcase murder case
Manik Uddin Laskar, 22, was arrested at Kashimpur in Jiribam district of Manipur. He will be produced before a magistrate court in Manipur and brought to Chennai after obtaining a transit warrant. Govt railway police opened the bag and found the headless and dismembered body of a woman. Police reviewed CCTV footage from Chennai Central and traced the movement of a man and a woman carrying the suitcase. The investigation led police to a rented house on Mosque Street in Guduvanchery, where additional body parts were recovered from a large cooking vessel.
CHENNAI: Guduvanchery police arrested the key suspect in the murder of a woman whose dismembered body was found in a suitcase on a Tamil Nadu Express train earlier this month.
The victim was later identified as Hidayath Nisha, 38, also known as Hayath Nisha, a native of Odisha.
