Yogi said disputes related to land, property rights, mutation, demarcation and inheritance should be resolved through a planned campaign, with uncontested succession cases under Section 33 cleared in mission mode. During the meeting, officials informed him that between July 13 and Aug 23, serious crimes declined by 5.1%, crimes against women by 3.9%, and offences against SC/ST communities by 11.2% compared to the previous review period. Gorakhpur : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed officials to ensure time-bound disposal of long-pending revenue cases, stressing that the culture of repeated adjournments or “tarikh pe tarikh” must end. Taking a tough stand on grievance redressal, the CM said complaints should not be disposed of through paperwork alone. Reviewing public grievances and law-and-order issues through video conferencing, he asked authorities to prioritise all revenue matters pending for over five years, from tehsildar courts to the Revenue Council. He also ordered district magistrates to personally review pending revenue cases and monitor their progress regularly. Cases closed without proper verification or based on incorrect reports will be reviewed again, and district magistrates or police chiefs concerned will be required to explain such lapses within five days, he added. The CM directed weekly crime analysis at zonal and range levels and called for swift action in cases involving women and children. Ahead of Janmashtami and Ganesh Chaturthi , Yogi ordered elaborate crowd-management plans for Mathura-Vrindavan, including a separate strategy for Banke Bihari Temple. He also instructed authorities to continue the crackdown on mafia, cattle smuggling, illegal religious conversions and other activities that could threaten law and order. Download the TOI App.
