Gorakhpur : A 15-year-old Class 10 student of a private girls’ inter college was allegedly raped for four months by a 29-year-old teacher, who is also the son of the school manager, in the Gola area of Gorakhpur. Police have registered an FIR against the accused and launched a search to nab him.
The accused allegedly coerced the Class 10 student by threatening to fail her in examinations while promising to sponsor her higher education. Around four months ago, Prateek Tripathi, 29, summoned her to his office cabin after school hours, according to the complaint. Finding her alone, he allegedly molested her. When she resisted, Tripathi allegedly threatened to fail her in the exams and defame her publicly.
Over the next four months, Tripathi allegedly repeatedly exploited her, enticing her with promises of getting her admitted to a city school in Gorakhpur, renting accommodation for her and bearing all her educational expenses.
